Now that 你've been admitted to University of Dallas, be sure to follow 你r program's next step instructions for submitting 你r deposit or Intent to Enroll Form, confirming 你r UD email address, and registering for classes. In addition to those items, 你 will also need to: 

All F-1 students that study in the United States need a Form I-20 "Certificate of Nonimmigrant Student Status". This form shows the U.S. government that 你 are considered eligible to apply for a F-1 Student visa based on 你r documented funds and academic 记录. Once 你 have been admitted to University of Dallas, and 你 have provided all of the required I-20 documents, 你r Immigration Advisor will issue 你r I-20. Additional details can be found 在这里.
After the I-20 has been issued, all admitted F-1 students must pay a one-time SEVIS fee prior to applying for the F-1 visa. You will submit the SEVIS fee receipt as part of 你r visa application. SEVIS Fee payment instructions can be found 在这里. If 你 are renewing 你r F-1 visa, it is recommended that 你 have proof of 你r previous SEVIS fee payment. You will not need to pay the SEVIS fee again. You must apply for 你r visa well in advance of 你r arrival as it can take several months to obtain the F-1 student visa. 美国.S. Department of State states that F-1 student visas can be issued up to 365 days in advance of the program start date. Important Things to Remember

  • You may enter the U.S. no more than 30 days prior to the starting date noted on the I-20 form. If 你 try to enter the U.S. more than 30 days before this starting date, 你 may not be permitted to enter the U.S.

  • Pay particular attention to the starting date noted on 你r I-20 form, as 你 must enter the U.S. by this date. If 你 cannot enter the U.S. by this date, please get in touch with ISSO to discuss changing 你r start date. Late arrivals will not be permitted.

  • The expiration date on 你r visa may not match the end date of 你r degree program. If 你r visa expires before 你 complete 你r degree program, 你 will apply for a new visa on 你r first trip outside the U.S. after 你r current visa expires.
